The aim in the first part of the book is to study froma a geometric viewpoint the theory of systems of differential equations admitting a, maybe, nonlinearm, superposition rule, allowing us to express the general solution of the system by means of the superposition function, in terms of a set of fundamental particular solutions. We rcall that the integration of systems of differential equations admitting infinitesimal symmetries was the main concern of S.Lie in developing what is nowadays called the theory of Lie algebras and Lie Groups.
